Unreal Evangelist at Epic Games

Christian Allen is an experienced and BAFTA award winning AAA game designer and creative director. Prior to joining Epic Games as the Unreal Engine Evangelist for North America, Christian served as Lead Designer, Creative Director, and Design Director of several AAA game projects for Ubisoft, Red Storm Entertainment, Microsoft, Bungie, and Warner Bros. Games; as well as running his own development studio, Serellan LLC, which shipped the Kickstarter funded Takedown: Red Sabre on PC and XBLA in 2013/2014, and an independently published Steam Early Access title, Epsilon, on Steam in late 2015. Christian also shipped a VR simulation of being a blind person based on a "This American Life" story, Hotel Blind, in 2016.

The Managing Director of TYM Studio™, an internship training studio, and a Lecturer of Digital Media at the University of Houston, Karen Snyder has over 15 years of experience in developing and creating multi-media projects. She enjoys hunting down problems and solving them by mixing her creative skill-set with technological insights. An advocate for serious games, she is creating and producing various showdowns that allow young talent ways to work with enterprise as they develop serious simulations.

Dennis Mathews is co-founder and CEO of Revelation Interactive and CTO at Codicast Interactive. He was mentioned as 1 of the top 10 African American game developers by Black Enterprise. He is an avid programmer and has been programming for over 15+ years for games, websites, hardware, and custom business applications. His expertise has been composed of evaluating and integrating new technologies and platforms which include AR/VR, for the casino, entertainment, game design, and oil & gas industries.

My diverse experiences have allowed me to develop an instructional style that facilitates learning amongst various populations of students by utilizing multiple modalities of learning including VR & AR.

Eva has a Masters in Architecture with a focus on school design. In 2012, Eva went from building schools to shaping minds as a middle school Math and History teacher. As an ImmersED fellow (2018-present), she has integrated VR/AR seamlessly into her curriculum utilizing a variety VR/AR tech applications.

Software and Game Programmer

Carlos holds 6 years in Game and Software development. He created software solutions for various industries. He has designed VR and AR simulations for use in Physical and NeuroPlastic therapeutic exercises as well as monitored patient feedback and comfort alongside the Texas Institute of Research and Rehabilitation. Part Time Researcher at the University of Houston’s Gaming Lab where has assisted in the writing and testing process of several papers while in pursuit of a Masters in Computer Science.  Aside from technical skill Carlos has participated in several pitch competition and accelerators such as the UH Red Labs Accelerator,the Boston Medical Innovation Pitch Competition and the NSF I-Corps Regional Accelerator.

Ana works with HTX Labs building simulations and staying connected with community. Ana previously worked as an Art Lead on simulations for oncology patients at OnComfort. She adds to the expanding efforts around the city of Houston. From working in the field, to co-organizing the Unreal Engine group, Ana has proved her love of development and industry. She is an Official ZbrushLIVE and creative live streamer every other week on Pixologic's Facebook Page, YouTube and Twitch Channels.

CACC Instructor - Network/Administration

BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from Auburn University in 2001. MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2015. After working with the Baldwin County Board of Education as a Network Administrator for over 9 years, Mr. Reynolds became a full-time instructor in 2012. He holds a CompTIA A+ Certification, CompTIA Network + Certification, and a Cisco Certified Network Associates Certification (2012).
